His Strength Is Perfect

His strength is perfect when our strength is gone;

Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

*Affirmation of Faith

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

*The Charge and Blessing

Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face;

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace.

The Postlude

*Those that are able may stand. All hymns are from the Celebration Hymnal unless designated by a P for the blue Presbyterian Hymnal.

         For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,

         that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

         For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,

         but to save the world through Him.
